Although I was the last man standing at my bachelor party, I remained true to the contest at hand. I had access to all of the leftover food, including an unopened jar of Con Queso and a fresh baked Challah. As many of you know this is one of my favorite snacks and for me to pass on taking the Con Queso home with me, is a meaningful statement. As for the Challah, well I couldn't throw it away because that would be sacrilegious, so I brought it home for Kelly to take one bite out of it.
One thing we all know but haven't expressed out loud is that we were the fattest group on the beach. I think it is a redeeming factor to have humility. First part of any change is to identify the problem. Ok...Z is fat and that is a significant difference to what we all saw in the Ham Jam videos. As soon as I stepped into Chicago Midway Airport, I started to feel much better about myself by looking at the skewed obese population in Chicago. But rest assure I stayed true to my word that I would take this weight loss contest seriously.
As for my diet, I have been using all of the resources I have available. Henry, my puppy. Great exercise buddy. My next door neighbor is a state wrestling champion and specializes in dropping weight fast. Kelly is a fantastic resource and will take the role of my chef during the contest. Kelly is ecstatic about the contest and has been begging me to diet for the past 3 years (she kept her mouth shut the first year of our relationship). When I came back to Chicago, I knew that I was not going to eat crap food, which eliminated mostly everything in my kitchen. I starved myself for the first 48 hours of the diet and started yelling at Kelly and Henry. I had to eat or there would be no party at the end of September and therefore no final place to weigh in. The next day I went to Wholefoods and bought $100 worth of vegetables and lean proteins. I was thinking that I could do this diet but needed to eat and could make the food taste good with the help of Kelly.
